I’ve always photographed to make sense of the world, but after a while I caught myself stuck—either repeating old habits or mimicking photographers I admired. Then I hit a wall, both personally and professionally. Oddly enough, that breakdown turned into a breakthrough: it pushed me to go all in and enroll in a two-and-a-half-year photography program in Cologne, where I graduated in 2020.
I’m Bruno, photographer and engineer, based in Düsseldorf. That double background shapes how I work: the engineer in me loves structure and detail, while the photographer looks for chaos, color, and everyday madness. The tension between those two sides is where my pictures live.
Since then, I’ve built a practice fueled by passion and curiosity. I shoot in different genres, but whatever I do, it carries a handwriting that’s unmistakably mine—colorful, playful, sometimes surreal, always rooted in the everyday.
The pandemic years made things tough, but I kept going—balancing artistic projects with commercial work, exhibitions, and photobooks. Along the way I learned that photography isn’t just about capturing what’s in front of you, it’s about shaping how we experience it afterwards.
My work moves between exhibitions, photobooks, and commissions. Whether it’s a print for your wall, a portrait that feels true, or images that tell the story of your business, my aim is simple: turn ordinary moments into something that sticks.
